Sisbarro supports the Southern New Mexico State Fair

Sisbarro Volkswagen Proudly Supports the 60th Southern New Mexico State Fair

Southern New Mexico State Fair 2026: Sisbarro Volkswagen Proudly Supports Las Cruces' 60th Annual Fair Some traditions in Doña Ana County don't need an invitation. When October gets close, families from Las Cruces, Mesilla, Anthony and El Paso start clearing a day on the calendar for the fair. This year is a milestone. The 60th Annual Southern New Mexico State Fair & Rodeo runs September 30 through October 4, 2026, and Sisbarro Volkswagen is proud to help make it happen. We're sponsoring alongside our sister stores: Sisbarro GMC, Sisbarro Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram and the Sisbarro Truck Store. Below you'll find how to pick your best fair day, and how to make sure your ride is ready for the drive out I-10. Which Fair-Goer Are You? Finding Your Best Day at the Southern New Mexico State Fair Think of fair week like a five-course menu. Nobody eats every course. You pick the ones you came for and plan around them. Here's how most families we talk to naturally sort themselves out: The Barn Family. You have a kid showing an animal, or you just love the livestock barns. Shows start early: swine and market rabbits kick off at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, and the Junior Livestock Sale is Friday evening. The Rodeo Crowd. The Ranch Rodeo takes over Thursday night. The PRCA Rodeo follows Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m., all at the Pete Domenici Rodeo Arena. The Concert Crowd. The Electric Company Concert Pavilion hosts Wade Bowen on Thursday, Oct. 1, Tyce Delk on Friday, Oct. 2, and Restless Road on Saturday, Oct. 3. The Car People. A Model A vintage car display fills the 4-H Building Saturday morning. Sunday brings an all-day car show at The Electric Company Pavilion. The Sisbarro Day Crowd. Wednesday, September 30 is Sisbarro Day. According to the fair's official schedule, admission is discounted all day, and the evening wraps with the opening ceremony and the carnival lights coming on. The takeaway: pick your day around your "must-see," then build the rest of the visit around it. You'll leave happier and less worn out. Southern New Mexico State Fair Trip Planner: Matching Your Plans to Your Ride A fair day in Southern New Mexico is really a road trip, a long day outdoors and a late drive home rolled into one. Your vehicle is part of the plan. Situation Cause / Reason Recommended Action Driving out daily for 4-H or FFA shows Early barn times and repeat trips on I-10 add up fast Check tires and brakes before the week starts. For heavy hauling, our Sisbarro GMC and Truck Store neighbors can help. Bringing the whole family for the carnival and the rodeo Strollers, coolers, jackets for the cooler night air and tired kids Consider three-row space like the Atlas or the ID. Buzz, and test drive one with your real gear in mind. Coming up from El Paso or Anthony for a concert A longer highway drive and a late return in the dark Book a quick pre-trip visit covering lights, wipers, fluids and tires. Showing off your car at Sunday's car show Desert dust and strong sun are hard on paint and interiors Ask about accessories and protection, and give the air filters a look afterward. Most people are surprised how much one fair day asks of their vehicle. A little prep keeps the focus on funnel cakes, not flashing dash lights. Why the Fair Matters in Las Cruces, and Why Sisbarro Shows Up The fairgrounds sit about 12 miles west of town on I-10, out on the open West Mesa. Take Exit 132 (Airport) or Exit 127 (Corralitos Road). On Friday and Saturday, the fair recommends the Corralitos exit for express parking. That drive tells you something about this region. People here cover real distance for the things they care about: ranch rodeos, youth livestock shows, family time and neighbors they only catch up with once a year. The Sisbarro family has been part of that story since 1981. Over more than 45 years, that's meant support for schools, youth athletics, local nonprofits and the Pat & Lou Sisbarro Community Park at New Mexico State University. You can see the full Sisbarro Southern New Mexico State Fair sponsorship page for more. You can also explore the wider list of Sisbarro Volkswagen community involvement across Doña Ana County. This matters for anyone who wants their car dollars to stay close to home. A local dealer that invests in local traditions is one you can hold accountable. Pre-Fair Checkup or Wait Until After? A Straight Answer Truth is, most well-maintained Volkswagen vehicles will handle a fair trip without a second thought. The real question is whether anything has been nagging at you. Here's the tipping point. If a warning light is on, your brakes feel soft or your tires are near the wear bars, don't wait. A dark stretch of I-10 at 11 p.m. with a carload of sleepy kids is the worst time to find out. If everything feels normal, enjoy the fair first. Then book a visit, because dusty lots are tough on air filters and paint. Either way, you can schedule Volkswagen service in Las Cruces online in a few minutes. What if the fair has you realizing you've outgrown your ride? Is a three-row SUV right for everyone? Not necessarily. A Tiguan or Taos covers plenty of families, while bigger crews may want the Atlas. Take your time. Browse new Volkswagen inventory, and if you're thinking about moving on from your current vehicle, start with a trade-in value estimate. No pressure, just information. Common Questions About the Southern New Mexico State Fair in Las Cruces Is there a way to save on admission to the Southern New Mexico State Fair? Yes. According to the fair's official 2026 schedule, Wednesday, September 30 is Sisbarro Day, with discounted admission all day. Thursday and Friday offer discounted admission until 2 p.m., and Saturday includes a discount for military members and first responders with valid ID. Confirm details with the fair before you go. What should I check on my Volkswagen before driving out to the fairgrounds? Focus on tire pressure and tread, brakes, headlights and taillights, and wiper blades. Your cabin and engine air filters take a beating on dusty desert lots. If a warning light is on, get it looked at before fair week, not after. When is the 2026 Southern New Mexico State Fair, and which day should I go? The fair runs September 30 through October 4, 2026. Livestock fans should go early in the week, and rodeo fans have Thursday through Sunday. Car lovers should circle Sunday for the all-day car show. How do I get to the Southern New Mexico State Fairgrounds from Las Cruces? Head west about 12 miles on I-10 and take Exit 132 (Airport) or Exit 127 (Corralitos Road). On Friday and Saturday, use the Corralitos exit for express parking. We'll See You at the Fair Sixty years is a long time for any tradition to last. It lasts because families keep showing up: the kid walking a lamb into the ring, the grandparents in the rodeo stands, the friends splitting a funnel cake under the carnival lights. Sisbarro Volkswagen is proud to be a small part of that. Whether you're headed out for Sisbarro Day or Sunday's car show, we hope you get there comfortably, stay a little late and drive home with a full heart. And when you're ready to talk about your next Volkswagen or your next service visit, our Las Cruces team is right here on South Valley Drive. A Bright And Beatiful Fireworks Display In The Night Sky

2026 Las Cruces July 4th Celebration Features Parades, Concerts, and Fireworks

This Sisbarro Volkswagen blog usually informs and celebrates all things Volkswagen, but we break from that to inform and celebrate our hometown of Las Cruces, NM, and its planned celebration of our country’s 250 th birthday.  Sisbarro Volkswagen hopes you take full advantage of the community’s celebration concert and fireworks display, Las Cruces and the New Mexico State Aggies have planned for this July 4 th. Independence Day is a unique holiday in many respects, one that emphasizes gathering and celebrating with families, neighbors, and the community over other elements. Although it sits in the middle of summer, there isn’t a formal Independence Day season per se – but there’s no reason you can’t start your celebration a little earlier than the calendar suggests. For instance, take the 2026 Las Cruces Electric Light Parade, which is part of the Las Cruces Fourth of July celebration. This fun event actually starts on Friday, July 3, at 9 P.M at Apodoca Park. Like fireworks, a light parade needs the dark of night, so the Parade travels south on Solano Drive, turns east on Hadley Avenue, and completes the route at the Maag Softball Complex. This year’s Light Parade, themed “Stars, Stripes and City Lights,” will illuminate the night with festive floats and decorated vehicles and will serve as the kickoff to the Independence Day weekend. Trophies are awarded first through third place in commercial and non-commercial categories, as well as a best overall float trophy. Floats are judged on originality, theme depiction, and effective use of lights. On the fourth itself, Las Cruces’ official celebration will be held at Pat & Lou Sisbarro Community Park, starting at 4:00 pm. The Pat & Lou Sisbarro Community Park officially opened in 2015 and serves as a reminder of the Sisbarro family’s commitment to community involvement. It is a free event featuring live musical performances and a massive fireworks show, with food vendors on-site throughout the evening. At 6:45, the concert begins with Las Cruces' favorites Triple Jack, known for their high-energy performances of classic rock, blues, and funk covers, as well as original music.  They will be followed at 8:00 pm by headliner 49 Winchester out of Castlewood, Virginia, with five released studio albums of their brand of Appalachian country rock.  And at 9:45 will be the start of the fireworks display to cap off our country’s 250 th birthday. Sisbarro Volkswagen hopes you attend our town’s festivities and wishes everyone a safe and enjoyable Independence Day.

Volkswagen Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport

Meet The Different 2026 Volkswagen SUV Models

Volkswagen is one of the few companies with a lineup of crossovers and SUVs powered by both gasoline and electricity. From small to large, you have a group of vehicles priced from $27,000 to $60,000, loaded with options. Let’s take a look at the great choices you have. Meet The 2026 Taos The least expensive option in the Volkswagen crossover range is the 2026 Taos, which was fully redesigned for the 2025 model year. Available in S, SE, SE Black, and SEL, starting from $27,295, the Taos is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that puts out 174 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, and features an 8-speed automatic gearbox that is both smart and quick. Front-wheel drive is standard, with 4Motion all-wheel drive optional across all trim levels. The EPA says drivers will get 28 mpg city and 36 mpg highway, while 4Motion Taos models achieve 25 mpg city and 33 mpg highway. Great Standard Tech Features Standard on the S trim is an 8.0-inch Digital Cockpit gauge cluster display and an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, while SE and SEL models get Digital Cockpit Pro with a 10.25-inch display. The SE and SEL models also get standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Larger Than You Think The Taos has plenty of interior volume with 28 cubic feet of space behind the rear seats when equipped with FWD and 25 with AWD. With the rear seats folded, AWD models have 60.2 cu.ft. of space, while FWD models have 65.9. The 2026 Tiguan Sitting just above the Taos, and the best-selling Volkswagen in the lineup, is the freshly redesigned Tiguan. As an all-new vehicle for 2025, the 2026 Tiguan continues and adds a new engine to the mix. With a starting price of $32,280, the Tiguan is priced right in the middle of mid-trim Taos models. This gives buyers good vehicles to choose from if they need extra size or would prefer something smaller with extra options. Buyers can choose between the S, SE, SE R-Line Black, and SEL R-Line Turbo, and like the Taos, the Tiguan comes standard with FWD. However, all-wheel drive is an option on all trim levels except the SEL R-Line Turbo, where it’s standard. Powering The Tiguan Under the hood is a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that delivers 201 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque with FWD, or 221 lb-ft with all-wheel drive. New for 2026, though, is the SEL R-Line Turbo, which takes that turbo engine and turns it up to 10, delivering 258 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. All models get an 8-speed Tiptronic transmission that is as smooth as butter. The EPA says the Tiguan FWD models will get up to 26 mpg in the city and 34 mpg on the highway, while AWD models will achieve 22 city and 30 highway. The hot SEL R-Line Turbo takes off just one mpg from the highway mileage. Fantastic Technology Inside, the Tiguan gets a 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro instrument cluster and a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, all as standard. The top-line SEL R-Line Turbo comes with a 15-inch system as standard. With the redesign, all models get Speech with A.I. voice assistant, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 15-watt wireless charging pad, and four 45-watt USB-C fast charging ports with two more available as an option. Plenty of Cargo Space Behind the second row of seats, the Tiguan offers 33.8 cubic feet of cargo space, which grows to 69.8 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded. Here Comes The 2026 Volkswagen Atlas Models Next in the lineup are the pair of Atlas models: the three-row Atlas and the two-row coupe-like Atlas Cross Sport. Both come standard with front-wheel drive and offer 4Motion all-wheel drive as an option. Pricing and Trim Levels The full-size Volkswagen Atlas starts at $40,785, and the two-row Atlas Cross Sport starts at $39,775. Both models are available in SE, SE with Technology, SEL, and SEL Premium R-Line. But going with the larger Atlas gets you the Peak Edition trim, a more off-road-ready, focused SUV. But the Atlas Cross Sport gets its own special trim, the SEL R-Line Black. Engine, Power, and Torque All Atlas models are powered by the well-regarded 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder that delivers 269 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque, and is mated to an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. Cargo Space Behind the rear seats of the Atlas Cross Sport, owners will have a rather larger 40.3 cubic feet of cargo space that expands to 77.6 cu.ft, when the seats are folded. This makes it one of the largest in its class, just like the Taos and Tiguan. However, the larger Atlas offers even more, with 20.6 cubes behind the third row that expand to 55.6 when the third row is folded. Folding down all seats gives a massive 96.8 cubic feet of cargo capacity, once again making it one of the largest in its class. The Volkswagen ID.4 Would Like a Word Last, but certainly not least, is the all-electric Volkswagen ID.4, which has received multiple updates and upgrades over the last couple of years, making it one of the more well-rounded EV SUVs on the market. With a starting price of $46,570, the ID.4 is available in a single-motor rear-wheel-drive or dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup. Pro and Pro S rear-wheel drive models feature 282 horsepower and 402 lb-ft of torque, while dual-motor AWD models (AWD Pro, AWD Pro S, AWD Pro S Plus) get 335 horsepower and around 500 lb-ft of torque. What Car and Driver Says About the ID.4 In their latest review of the ID.4, Car and Driver said the updated vehicle is great, saying, “... in the cut and thrust of urban driving, the acceleration , combined with its immediate throttle response, makes you feel invincible ... The ride and handling remain very good in city and suburban driving. Combined with the quiet and buttery smooth powertrain, the ID.4 feels very refined.” Interior Tech All models feature a standard digital 5.3-inch ID.Cockpit display that’s attached to the steering column that shows the vehicle’s speed, range, navigation information, and the like. A 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system is also standard and offers wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with a wireless charger in the center console. Plenty of Driving Range There are many pros to getting an ID.4, such as not having to worry about the ebb and flow of gas prices amid global and economic turmoil. Charging at home saves time and money, making your morning commutes that much easier. On a single charge, RWD ID.4 models have an EPA-estimated range of 291 miles, and AWD models have an EPA-estimated range of 263 miles. The ID.4 Is Easy to Charge When you need to charge on the go, Volkswagen offers a 2-year Electrify America Pass+ membership that saves you about 25% on charging at any of Electrify America’s stations nationwide. When charging at 175-kWh chargers, the ID.4 can charge from 10-80% in 30 minutes. ID.4 owners can also take advantage of 25,000 Tesla Superchargers around the country, too, thanks to an included NACS DC fast charger adapter. Great Cargo Space Just like other VW SUVs, the ID.4 has plenty of cargo space: 30.3 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 64.2 cubic feet when folded, giving it similar space to the gas-only Tiguan. All VW SUVs Have Amazing Standard Safety Features No matter which Volkswagen you buy, you will be treated to an advanced suite of safety equipment via IQ.Drive. Each model includes features such as Forward Collision Warning, Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection, Automatic Emergency Braking, Rear Cross-Traffic Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Lane-Centering Assistance, Lane Keeping Assistance, Adaptive Cruise Control with stop-and-go, Post-Collision Braking System, Travel Assist, and more. Sisbarro Original Store

45 Years of Sisbarro

The Sisbarro dealerships are celebrating a milestone anniversary—45 years serving the automotive needs of Las Cruces, Deming, and the communities of southern New Mexico. “It’s hard for me to believe, but for nearly half a century, Sisbarro has been more than just a place to buy a car; we’ve become a trusted partner for families, businesses, and drivers across southern New Mexico,” said Lou Sisbarro, President of the Sisbarro dealerships. Founded in 1981, Sisbarro Buick-Pontiac-GMC quickly established itself as a cornerstone of the Las Cruces automotive market. Over the years, the organization has grown to include Sisbarro Volkswagen (1985), Sisbarro Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram (1995), Sisbarro Truck Store, Sisbarro OnSale Tires, and CreditCars. “As southern New Mexico’s only locally owned and operated dealership group, we have a responsibility to give back,” Sisbarro said. “And today, with well over 125,000 vehicles sold, one of my proudest achievements is our 45-year connection to the community.  The dealerships have consistently supported local events, charities, and organizations, helping strengthen the fabric of Las Cruces and Deming. Whether it’s sponsoring youth programs, participating in community fundraisers, or simply providing reliable transportation options, Sisbarro has made a lasting impact beyond the showroom floor.” “A milestone like this wouldn’t be possible without our family of loyal customers and dedicated employees,” Sisbarro continued. “Most of my management team have been with the dealerships for decades, bringing experience, consistency, and a personal touch to every sales and service customer.” While Sisbarro reflects on its history, he is proud of his organization’s designation as the top volume car dealer south of Albuquerque and between Tucson, Arizona, and El Paso, Texas. “Being number one doesn’t happen by accident.  We take care of our customers, and that’s why we have been successful,” Sisbarro added. With rising costs everywhere from the grocery store to the dealership showroom, Sisbarro remains committed to affordability and value—things that have always mattered to the communities it serves. Whether customers are searching for a dependable used vehicle, exploring new models, or taking advantage of service specials, Sisbarro continues to prioritize options that fit a wide range of budgets. As Sisbarro celebrates 45 years, it’s not just about looking back—it’s about moving forward with the same dedication that started it all. A brand-new showroom at Sisbarro Volkswagen will open in late 2026. With strong community ties, a focus on customer satisfaction, and an eye on the future, Sisbarro is well-positioned for many more years of success.

Volkswagen GTI Concepts

VW Celebrates 50 Years of the GTI With 3 Concepts

Since 1976, the Volkswagen GTI has been a trendsetter in automotive culture. As the first hot hatch, it’s created multiple generations of competitors that have never been able to quite capture the hearts and minds of car buyers the way the GTI has. 50 Years Young To mark 50 years and 2.5 million cars sold to date, Volkswagen is celebrating its birthday with a series of global events, three unique concepts, and the release of the first-ever electric GTI. A GTI and A 12 Cylinder Engine The concepts are not new to the GTI world, as they debuted in 2007, 2013, and 2014. However, they are a reminder of what the spirit and creativity of the car mean to enthusiasts. The first concept, the GTI W-12, was a car that answered a question no one had. What if Volkswagen stuffed a Bentley 12-cylinder engine behind the front seats of a fifth-generation GTI? What we got was a powerhouse with 650 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque from a 6.0-liter W-12, a dual-clutch transmission, and a 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 202 mph. To accomplish this, VW lowered the car by three inches and widened it by six to work properly, then put a rear axle and brakes from a Lamborghini, the engine from a twin-turbo Bentley Continental, a carbon fiber roof, and rear suspension and such from an Audi R8. Before Becoming a Farmer, Jeremy Clarkson Reviewed Cars In the debut episode of series 10, Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson enjoyed a hot drive in the GTI W-12. He said it wasn't a particularly savage car in terms of performance, but it just wouldn’t stop going once you pushed the accelerator. While the car was originally painted Candy White, it has since been repainted Tornado Red. A Seemingly Simple Yet Special Concept The next car VW showed off was the Design Vision GTI concept at the 2013 LA Auto Show. This special model featured a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that produced 503 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque, according to Volkswagen. Engineers widened a Mk7 GTI by 2.8 inches, lowered it to squat over the wheels, installed one-off 20-inch wheels with center locks, fitted carbon-ceramic brakes, and added special bodywork with new side air intakes and vents. The interior was inspired by the Audi R8 at the time and stripped for weight savings, with Alcantara and carbon-like appointments throughout the cabin, plus red door pulls instead of handles. Volkswagen ripped the rear seats out and put a massive X-brace in their place to stiffen the chassis. Fantastically Fast With a dual-clutch DSG transmission and 4Motion all-wheel drive, VW said this unique GTI could reach 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds and top out at 186 mph. This was quite a bit quicker off the line than the Mk7 GTI at the time, which, according to Car and Driver, required 5.6 seconds to 60, a brisk time even by today’s standards. The Most Unique GTI Ever Volkswagen followed the success of the previous two cars by introducing a very special one-off: a roadster built for Gran Turismo 6. The GTI Roadster offered the same twin-turbo V6 as the Design Vision GTI. The GTI Roadster, though, turns the GTI into a Speedster, with short windows and a windshield, plus scissor doors, a giant rear wing, and all-new bodywork and one-off wheels. With meatier tires and larger brakes, the 2014 GTI Roadster was quite possibly the most special of all the concepts. Volkswagen Means Value While the GTI is synonymous with performance and value, all Volkswagen vehicles are engineered and priced to offer more than you would expect for their reasonable prices. The 2026 models are some of the best values Volkswagen has ever offered, and Sisbarro Volkswagen has the best sales team to help you find the exact vehicle you want at the price you need. Why Choose Sisbarro Volkswagen It's time for you to treat yourself to a visit to Sisbarro Volkswagen. At Sisbarro Volkswagen, we are proud to offer the best prices and services on both new and used Volkswagen models. Our sales team will work to find you the car you want, and our finance department will help you get the best possible price. When it’s time to service your car, our service department will work hard to ensure your car or SUV receives the best care imaginable. The 2026 Volkswagen Taos Is Made for Drivers

We’re always looking for drivers to enjoy our lineup of great vehicles. Our compact 2026 Volkswagen Taos SUV is a great starting point for many people. It offers the space you need with the versatility you expect from a vehicle that punches above its weight. What drivers will discover about the 2026 Taos is its nimbleness. Vehicles of this size were engineered to handle smaller parking spaces and tighter turns. The 2026 Taos makes all of this easier, while delivering more of everything else. That includes more power. The turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine puts down 174 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. This makes the 2026 Taos one of the most powerful vehicles in its size class. Connected to an eight-speed automatic transmission, you have a choice of front- or the 4Motion all-wheel drive system. No matter which driveline you choose, you can count on performance and traction to handle whatever our climate throws at your 2026 Taos. It is also a handsome SUV. The signature light bar and logo greet you, while the large lower grille takes in all of the air needed to keep your engine going. The roofline is tall enough for both passengers and cargo to enjoy the ride. Speaking of cargo, the liftgate opens up high for easier loading and unloading of anything you put inside the 2026 Taos. With a choice of four models, each has its own environment and personality, allowing you to enjoy the drive. From comfortable cloth seats in the S model to luxurious leather in the SEL, the right level of comfort can make your 2026 Taos experience the one you want. That, along with space for up to five people and up to 65.9 cubic feet of cargo volume, is exceptional in its size class. We cannot talk about Volkswagen without its technology. Each 2026 Taos offers a Digital Cockpit display for the driver – the SE, SE Black, and SEL have the larger 10.25-inch version with multiple screen options. A center eight-inch display houses many interactive functions, from Wireless App-Connect with smartphone mirroring to native navigation found on the Discover Media system on the SEL. When it comes to safety, the 2026 Taos delivers the standard suite of IQ.DRIVE driver-assistance features, keeping you protected from harm anywhere – even parked. You get adaptive cruise control, front assist, rear traffic alert, travel assist, and emergency assist, among several features that work together to keep you safe and secure every time you hit the road. While we think it’s a great compact SUV, the editors at J. D. Power evaluated a 2026 Taos SEL. They said that it was “enjoyable to drive, with good handling and a smooth ride, making it a great option for road trips or daily chores.” In addition, they stated that “ with a full suite of and a spacious interior with good utility, the Taos holds its own in a very competitive market segment.” If the 2026 Taos fits your needs and lifestyle, contact us at Sisbarro Volkswagen and start your journey with us.

2027 Volkswagen Atlas Front View

Volkswagen Debuts The All-New Atlas SUV

Since it first arrived on the scene for the 2018 model year, the Volkswagen Atlas has become a beloved three-row SUV for buyers who were looking for more than just another bland family vehicle. While 2021 saw significant updates for the sport utility, 2024 saw the Atlas become even better, with a new engine that offered more power and torque, along with more standard equipment and upgraded safety features. Introducing The All-New 2027 Volkswagen Atlas At this year’s New York International Auto Show, Volkswagen took the wraps off the all-new 2027 Atlas with the latest fifth-generation EA888 turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder that delivers 13 more horsepower at 282 and 258 lb-ft of torque and gets paired with the current model’s fantastic and smart 8-speed automatic transmission. The legendary 4Motion all-wheel-drive system is available as an option across all trim levels, and Volkswagen says a hybrid model will arrive in a few years during a mid-cycle refresh. A Word from Volkswagen “When we first launched Atlas in 2017, we delivered the space and style the SUV market was missing; practical, well‑designed, and unmistakably Volkswagen,” said Kjell Gruner, President and CEO, Volkswagen of America. “The all‑new 2027 Atlas brings more of what matters: a stronger design, smarter technology, increased power, and a premium feel where it matters most.” Higher End and More Premium One of the main goals of the all-new Atlas was to give buyers a more premium-looking and feeling SUV without breaking the bank. The new, unique stacked LED headlights, along with the lighted bar and VW logo running along the front grille, let everyone know what you’re driving before you even get there. More pronounced fender flares lead the way to different wheel sizes, from 18 to 20 and 21 inches. The high shoulder line of the side profile gives the Atlas a more upright appearance. The taillights feature multiple LEDs connected by a lightbar. New Exterior Colors Volkswagen will offer three new colors for all 2027 Atlas models: Blackberry, Sacramento Green, and Sandstone. A New, More Premium Interior The premium-ness doesn’t stop with the exterior design. No, the interior incorporates new design elements, such as high-end soft-touch materials, genuine wood on the dashboard, and the ability to choose from up to 30 ambient interior colors. New Colors, Accents, and Features Buyers will be able to choose among three interior color options: pebble grey, a moody black with dark grey, and a brand-new deep wine. Base trim models feature leatherette seating surfaces, while the top two trim levels receive Varenna or Nappa leather seats. Speaking of seats, the driver will appreciate having a 12-way power-adjustable seat with four-way lumbar support as standard. Rear passengers receive a new air vent in the B-pillar for improved ventilation. Better Interior Tech Base trim levels will have a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, while all higher trims have a 15-inch screen. The much-loved 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro digital instrument cluster is also standard on all models and configurable to your tastes and needs. The Driver Experience Dial on the center console will control the stereo volume, the new Atmosphere feature, and the different drive modes. For the first time, the Atlas is available with side-by-side Qi2 wireless chargers in the center console for the driver and front passenger. However, seven USB-C ports are still offered throughout the cabin. Owners will get a free one-year subscription to Premium Speech, the new generative A.I. voice assistant from Volkswagen. New Standard Equipment The 2027 Atlas offers new features as standard, including a power liftgate, rear sunshades, auto-dimming driver side mirror, dual hatch lights, and rear park distance control. Base models are upgraded to a 9-speaker sound system, while other models offer a 14-speaker Harmon Kardon premium sound system, standard on the top trim. Even More Safety Than Before One of the greatest innovations of the 2027 Atlas is the inclusion of a center airbag between the driver and front passenger, bringing the total to seven airbags. The standard IQ.DRIVE suite of safety equipment features updated driver-assistance technology, including Travel Assist for semi-autonomous, hands-on driving, and Emergency Assist, which will bring the vehicle to the side of the road and to a complete stop during a medical emergency. The base model now gets Park Distance Control as standard, while the top trim gets a new version of Park Assist Plus. You Choose Between Two and Three Rows Like the previous models, the Atlas will be available as both a three-row SUV and the two-row Atlas Cross Sport. When properly equipped, both models will still be able to tow up to 5,000 lbs. Sisbarro Volkswagen Is Here to Help More information from Volkswagen about the latest Atlas will be available soon, including trim level names, pricing, and new photos. So, keep in touch with Sisbarro Volkswagen for updates. The expert salespeople will be able to answer all your questions about the Atlas or Atlas Cross Sport. Golf GTI Autobahn

Car and Driver Names Three Volkswagen Models to Their 2026 Editors’ Choice List

The awards keep on coming for Volkswagen. MotorTrend named the Volkswagen Golf GTI and Golf R their 2026 Car of the Year, while Car and Driver added both of them to this year’s 10Best Cars list. The accolades continue to roll in for both the 2026 Golf GTI and Golf R, as they were named to Car and Driver’s 2026 Editors’ Choice list. They are also joined by the 2026 Tiguan, making it three Volkswagen models on this esteemed list of the magazine's best automobiles. This list is based on Car and Driver’s extensive and exhaustive testing of every vehicle they work with. Based on instrumented testing, the magazine’s editors convene to pore over data and impressions to create a list of 131 of their highest-rated and well-loved vehicles for this roster—that is, 131 vehicles out of 450—across 47 segments. The criteria they use are based on the editors’ assessment of each 2026 model-year vehicle’s “intended mission” and the value it brings to consumers and enthusiasts. Each vehicle receives a ranking of up to 10 stars. To make the list, they have to earn at least nine of them. Considering how well the Volkswagen Golf has done with the editors of Car and Driver over the past 50-plus years, it is no surprise that the 2026 Golf GTI and Golf R have made this list. Over eight-and-a-half generations, the groundbreaking hatchback evolved into a pair of sports compact/hot hatch heroes. The benchmark they set over the past 50 years has earned them an international following amongst enthusiasts of all stripes. The 2026 Golf GTI and Golf R continue this tradition as the “go-to” sports compacts/hot hatches, delivering excitement and precision in two different packages. While they share the basic EA888 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, their tunes and drivelines deliver distinctive driving experiences for their drivers. The 2026 Golf GTI features a 241-horsepower, front-drive drivetrain that delivers a pure driving experience that engages the driver no matter where they go. The 2026 Golf R does so with a more powerful 328-horsepower unit, coupled with a 4Motion all-wheel-drive system that delivers superb grip for maximum traction. The best acknowledgement of how the 2026 Tiguan has been elevated is Car and Driver’s inclusion of it on this list. This year, VW doubled down on the power offerings from the same EA888 turbocharged engine. Most models get the 201-horsepower version, delivering efficiency while adding fun along the way. For enthusiastic families looking for more excitement, the 2026 Tiguan SEL R-Line Turbo raises the power band to 268 horsepower for a sporting drive with you and the family or your friends. All three of these vehicles are the result of the great work Volkswagen has done in producing and offering great experiences. That is why you are invited to answer our call for “Drivers Wanted.” You can check out all three of these Editors’ Choice winners at Sisbarro Volkswagen. 2026 Volkswagen Tiguan Named Best SUV in Annual Latin Flavor Cars Awards

Volkswagen is a brand with a huge Latino following and customer base across the Americas. As popular as they are in Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil, they have found a deeper culture right here across the country. It comes as no surprise that Puros Autos recognized the 2026 Volkswagen Tiguan as the Best SUV in their Latin Flavor Cars of the Year awards. As the leading automotive source for Latinos in the U.S.A., Puros Autos looks at insights from this influential customer base in terms of purchasing power, marketing efforts, and development strategies to calculate data and determine trends to better serve this demographic. They cited the 2025 and 2026 Tiguan models, noting improvements over the last generation model in performance, quality, technology, and safety. For one, the interior quality and materials are great to the touch. The controls also follow suit with ease of operation. That includes the steering-stalk-mounted shifter. This new-generation Tiguan offers the largest screens in the history of the Tiguan. The standard 12.9-inch screen houses connectivity and operational functions that are quickly accessible. The same screen becomes even larger in the new SEL R-Line Turbo, measuring 15 inches. Devices can connect wirelessly quickly and easily. A unique feature now found on the 2025 and 2026 Tiguan is the Atmospheres mood selector that creates an environment that matches how you’re feeling behind the wheel. The newest Tiguan is also very accommodating, seating up to five people. It can also carry up to 69.6 cubic feet of cargo with the rear seats down. For 2026, the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder is now available with two power levels. SE, SEL, and SEL R-Line Black models are powered by the 201-horsepower engine, offering both performance and efficiency. The new SEL R-Line Turbo model sees a power bump to 268 horsepower, igniting more excitement into your daily driving. All 2025 and 2026 Tiguan models are equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission and a choice of front- or 4Motion all-wheel drive. This is one of several awards the newest Tiguan has received so far. The recognition of our popular SUV resonates with consumers looking for great value from a vehicle designed and engineered to meet their needs and more. This is why the 2025 and 2026 Tiguan is truly a smart choice. If the 2025 and 2026 Tiguan is the right SUV for you, contact us at Sisbarro Volkswagen to see one soon!

Driver's Wanted

Volkswagen Kicks off a New Chapter of its Drivers Wanted Campaign

With a debut during that rather popular football game in early February, Volkswagen begins a new chapter of its Drivers Wanted advertising campaign. Sisbarro Volkswagen provides you with the details. The Drivers Wanted campaign dates back to the late 90s and was created to communicate Volkswagen’s human-centric approach to design, performance, and culture, as well as the distinctive driver-pleasing feel of its models. Today, the campaign, designed by the New York advertising agency Johannes Leonardo, offers a forward-looking invitation, calling on a new generation to say yes to possibility, originality, and optimism by living life in the driver’s seat. The debut spot, “The Great Invitation,” showcases the brand as a whole. Set to the 1992 hip-hop song “Jump Around” by House of Pain, the spot features a series of invitations, starting with a dog knocking a ball toward its owner as a request to play, followed by a group of people inviting their friend to join them on a trip in their ID. Buzz, a young woman inviting someone inside a VW to join her dancing in the rain; a dust-covered Golf GTI with "call me" scrawled beneath a phone number; the siren call of an ice cream truck prompting spontaneous decisions; and several other instances of someone being encouraged to join in. These moments embody the spirit of saying yes and reaffirm the original campaign's goal of encouraging young consumers to forge their own paths and shape culture. Most scenes could be anywhere, but multiple shots of a city, either up close or in the background, reveal the location as Houston, TX.  Most of the individuals in the spot are young, as VW aims to capture a new generation of “drivers” with the brand’s long-held belief that driving is about much more than getting from point A to point B. “ Our passion has always been about our cars and our people; our drivers, our dealers, our employees,” said Kjell Gruner, President and CEO, Volkswagen Group of America. “This campaign celebrates that connection and invites everyone to share in the joy of driving a Volkswagen.” In contrast to the 2024 game-day spot “An American Love Story,” which celebrated 75 years of Volkswagen in the U.S. and showcased models across the decades, “The Great Invitation” focuses on current models in the VW lineup. “Now is the perfect moment to remind our enthusiasts why they love Volkswagen and to welcome others to join in,” said Rachael Zaluzec, Senior Vice President of Customer Experience and Brand Marketing, Volkswagen of America. “’Drivers wanted’ is more than a message; it’s an invitation to take the wheel, experience the freedom and fun of the road.” With only one spot available for viewing at this point, it is difficult to determine where VW will go with this campaign, but we will all be watching. In the meantime, Sisbarro Volkswagen extends its own invitation for you to see and experience the exciting lineup of Volkswagens, from the practical and efficient Taos to the very driver-pleasing Golf GTI to the eye-catching and innovative ID.Buzz, or similarly spacious Atlas.
